I co-developed Gray’s Moodle Zone as an universal online learning resource for all students at the school.
Working with my colleague Iain Morrison we developed Gray’s Moodle zone as an adaptation of Moodle that is non module specific and accessible to all students at Gray’s School of Art. We designed it so that it functioned more like a conventional website, with easily navigable structure with a consistent structure throughout. This was then populated with a wide variety of learning materials ranging from downloadable notes through to video demonstrations of practical and IT related topics. I also created a framework for all of our visiting lecturers to be filmed and made available online through Gray’s Moodle Zone.
In total there are over 200 videos available to students with over fours days of viewing time.
The site was also designed to be expandable with staff from specialist areas populating relevant areas with their own learning materials allowing Gray’s Moodle Zone to reach its potential in being a universal repository of learning materials for Gray’s School of Art.
